Future IT and Technology Company, here known as FITCO, and Beaconhouse International College Faisalabad (BIC) formally sealed an MOU of encouraging the IT and business students. Through this partnership it will foster mentorship, create a culture of innovation and create a forum where students have an opportunity to acquire exemplary skills and knowledge that will help steer their delinquent careers in technology and business. Through the signings of the MOU, a new chapter in partnership of institutions of learning and the industrial sector in an effort to close the theory practice gap has been set.
The purpose of this MOU is to establish a mentorship programme for the student in Beaconhouse International College who are studying IT and business related courses. In this relationship, FITCO will offer consultancy services, employment, and programs that will enable the students to relate their academic lessons to practice. This partnership will also guarantee our students good employment status because they will be well prepared for the market.
It was aimed at celebrating the signing of MOU between the FITCO and known educational institution – Beaconhouse International College Faisalabad. Organized at the college’s compound, the event was graced with the participation of faculty members, college students, seniors officials from both FITCO and BIC. It started with a word from college administration to both partners then the speeches made reciprocally to depict the importance of the partnership.
The event was full of energy and both parties reiterated their desire to change the future scenario of preparing students to face challenging business and technology environment. Speaking at the event, representatives from FITCO and BIC stressed the need for synergy between institutions of learning and industry in ordering improvement of standards.
These will greatly help the students of the Beaconhouse International College. That is, with the help of a mentorship program, students will be introduced with a set of vital resources. From the information, they will be in a better position to understand what is expected of the industry, new trends in technology and the qualifications needed in the job market.
Moreover, the students will be affording numerous chances to take part in the modern projects as well as similarly get internships with FITCO. This exposure to real business environment will go along way in molding them into professional individuals.
The very development of the relationship implies the intention to extend the field of work of a mentor and to open new steps of cooperation in different spheres of IT and business. We also plan to conduct Makerspace workshops, hackathons and other skill development events. This will make a big difference since through FITCO the students will be able to learn from industry leaders from Sri Lanka but also the international world.
This partnership will be beneficial for future cooperation between educational centers and the corporate world, striving to adapt students for the academic environment of the present-day job market.
